First and foremost I am a wife, mother of three, and a fully devoted follower of Christ. In 2022 I went out on a limb and started Cedar & Pearl without knowing what to expect and having little to no knowledge of how to start or even run a business. All I knew was that being a full time photographer was a dream of mine for as long as I could remember and the only one standing in my way was me. After having my second daughter, I knew it was time. So, I went for it! Not long after I had started my venture, I was fortunate enough to be mentored by a very gifted photographer who is well versed in all aspects of photography. I truly believe her guidance and the encouragement I received from my family is what laid the ground work for Cedar & Pearl and alleviated what doubts of success I had.

Every photog has their very own, beautifully unique approach and style when it comes to photography. Though I am terrible with words, especially when it comes to describing my "style", I can say this; when someone comes across my work I want them to be able to feel the emotion they are seeing in the photo. In family photos I want the viewer not only to see smiles, I want them to hear the playful laughter between siblings. I want them to feel the excitement and anticipation of an expectant mother in her maternity photos. The same goes for weddings, senior sessions and so on. As long as the viewer is feeling something from my images, I have done my job justice.
